OPT OUT

• So Maya's been through a lot in her canon. A few people she knows have died, a few people she know were messed up in a bus accident, she was messed up in a bus accident. On top of all of that she's had constant fights with anxiety and depression, as well as a few run-ins with drug seeking and self destructive behavior.
  
  Maya has attempted suicide before, and still struggles with self destructive negative thoughts. That's a part of who she is. So comments are screened if you wish to request no mention of suicide, reduced negative thoughts in brackets, or just no tags from Maya. As this is still a part of her character and still something she deals with.

Hearing Ability

• Maya's primary ability as a Candle is Hearing magic and how that interacts with others. It gives her some broad sense of a person she's nearby, or about any magic they're using. Various magics sound differently to her (but she can't always interpret the information, that's the opt out on this).
  
  NOTE: If a character goes through an event that causes a massive shift in who they are (trauma, falling in love, a sudden discovery of purpose or self worth, the realization all life is meaningless and you might as well eat dessert first) that would shift their personal sound to Maya so if you want her to realize this please update their sound when a thing happens.
  
  These questions are here for you to answer if you want, or just OPT OUT and Maya isn't sure what it means.
  
  Specific Sounds: Musical instruments, noises attached to places/ideas, tempos, melodies?
  General Impressions: What mood does this convey, or should convey, gentle, sinister, earnest. Are they carrying a magical curse that might also be heard (vampirism, lycanthropy, being a demon)? Are they using a magic Maya might hear? Also OPT OUT as an option.
  Illusions and Veils: If your character is using a complicated illusion magic to 'hide' themselves from the world, how many threads do you want it to take for Maya to push past their illusions and see what's underneath? I might offer modifications based on what Maya already knows, or doesn't know yet. For instance after the mission in Paris hunting an undead monster, she'll become more aware of what 'undead' sounds like.
  
  Maya is already aware of what 'daemon' sounds like, as well as 'bitten by a blighted spider, Peter ruined your secret identities forever.' (Difficult: Integer or Never as you like.)

OOC PERMISSION

• BACKTAGGING - Absolutely.
• THREADHOPPING - Um, sure, if it's funny and the thread isn't too serious.
• FOURTHWALLING - If it would be reasonable. I'd rather avoid it if at all possible.
• OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS - Sure, go for it.

IC PERMISSION - FRIENDLY

• TOUCHING - She'll at best non-react, and at worst flinch noticeably and pull away.
• HUGGING - She needs hugs severely, but she'll probably be real awkward about it unless she really likes you.
• KISSING - You don't kiss Maya, Maya kisses you. She'll shove you off if you try.
• FLIRTING - Sure, she'll have issues seeing why you'd flirt with her.
• ROMANCE - Maya's fairly romantic but she's got a lot of baggage so she'll be slow to start up, but it isn't off the table. Plot it with me after some threads though.
• SEX - ...actually be easier than the above, but we'd have to work that out in advance.

IC PERMISSION - UNFRIENDLY

• HITTING - I'm fine with it, Maya will try to defend herself, but mostly just try to escape. Maya's tougher than she seems.
• INJURING - I'd rather have a plan, but it isn't off the table.
• KILLING - Let's not.
• DRUGGING - Let's not.
